Skin tags and lesions are very common. They can make you feel uncomfortable and self conscious. Why put up with them? We can remove skin tags from any part of your body quickly and easily.

Skin tags can be removed in one of two ways. A consultation prior to treatment will allow us to assess which is the most appropriate method. The doctor will inject local anaesthetic into the surrounding area, so you won’t feel a thing.

If the skin tag is on a stalk the doctor will use a piece of equipment called a hyfracator that excises the tag from the skin and seals the tiny capillaries to prevent bleeding –so there is no need for stitches. The procedure takes a few minutes to complete.

If the tag is closer to the surface of the skin, the doctor will select the Iridex Venus laser to ablate or vaporise the skin tag.

what is included in the free consultation?

Your free of charge consultation will last for approximately 30 minutes and gives you the opportunity to come in and talk to one of our experts about the treatment process and what it involves.  It also allows us to look at the area you want treating and give a more accurate idea as to the likely number of treatments involved and potential cost.  You can ask any questions you may have in relation to the treatment, we'll also show you some before and after images of other treatments that have been carried out.  You can then go away and make an informed decision as to whether you wish to proceed with treatment.  Whether you decide to go ahead or not, the consultation is completely free of charge.

will it hurt?

Your doctor will inject local anaesthetic to the area to make this a quick and comfortable procedure.

how much will it cost?

The cost for having one skin tag removed is £125, this includes a consultation with one of our nurses to make sure you are fully aware of the treatment process and that you are suitable for treatment. The actual treatment is carried out my our Medical Director Mr David Watt, Consultant Plastic Surgeon. If you have more than one skin tag you wish to remove then this will be discussed in the initial consultation.

will I need time off work?

No. You will receive an aftercare pack and instructions of how to care for the treated area. You will be advised to keep the area clean and dry for three to four days.
